Civil Law is the body of legal rules and principles which rule over personal or economic relations between private persons, both natural and corporate, between individuals and public offices, or even between public offices themselves, as long as they act solely on their own behalf. Likewise, we often use the term Civil Law to describe the body of rules included in the Civil Code. Thus, Civil Law regulates most of the existing legal relations, which are the most common and ordinary relations in life, also known as “rules of civil responsibility”. They are applicable to any legal area and they serve as the basis upon which to claim liabilities, caused through action or failure to act, from any corporate or natural person, be it public or private.
